President Trump declared that he will end the US relationship with the WHO, over the organization's handling of the pandemic and concerns that it has become a "puppet of China". US funding that had previously been allocated to the WHO will now be shifted to other "worldwide and deserving urgent global public health needs". This amounts roughly $450m each year.
