Your request for Annual Leave has been reviewed and DENIED based on the following:

• Operational requirements prevent non-essential personnel departure at this time.
• Manning levels are below mission-capable threshold. All hands are required.
• "Whenever I feel like it" is not a valid leave date range in ELLMS or any known calendar system.
• Submission did not include a signed leave request chit or detachment letter.
• The unit is currently in a pre-deployment readiness cycle. Leave is not authorized.

While your leave is denied, your gear does not have to be. Browse the MEGC catalog and show up squared away regardless.

REQUIRED for all personnel when off-base and planning to consume liberty.

• No Liberty Buddy was designated in writing prior to departure.
• Buddies MUST remain in the SAME venue or immediate area once liberty begins.
• "My buddy said he'd meet me there" does not constitute a valid designation.
• Exceptions may be granted in writing by an O-5 commander. You did not obtain one.
• Shopping at MEGC requires no buddy system and zero paperwork.

Your emergency leave request has been flagged for the following discrepancies:

• Emergency documentation was marked "Checked (unverified)" — this field requires actual documentation.
• Red Cross message has not been received by the unit at time of submission.
• The definition of "emergency" does not include: concert tickets, hunting season, a cousin's graduation, or "it's been a while."
• Request will remain PENDING until supporting documentation is routed through the chain of command.

Your leave address field was submitted as: "TBD"

• A valid street address, city, state, and phone number are required at time of submission.
• "I'll figure it out" and "wherever the bus stops" are not valid leave addresses.
• A hotel reservation, billeting confirmation, or home address is required.
• Emergency recall procedures require the command to contact you. "My cell" is not sufficient alone.

Wherever you end up, make sure you're wearing the right gear. MEGC has you covered.

The leave chit was not routed through proper chain of command prior to submission:

• Chit must be signed by immediate supervisor, section chief, and commanding officer — in that order.
• Asking the CO directly without routing through the NCO chain does not count. He said no anyway.
• Emailing the request as a PDF to the S1 inbox is not the same as routing a chit.
• The chit was signed by the wrong officer and returned without action.
• Resubmit through proper channels. Allow 5–7 business days for another denial.

NO leave or liberty is authorized during TCCOR 1 and STORM WATCH phases.

• All personnel are required to be within 2 hours of their duty station.
• Off-installation travel is PROHIBITED regardless of tier status.
• No alcohol consumption is authorized during TCCOR 1 regardless of location.
• There are no exceptions based on rank, time in service, or accrued terminal leave balance.
• Yes, this includes the weekend.
• Yes, even that weekend.

Your general appeal has been reviewed at all levels of the chain of command. The finding is as follows:

• You are, in fact, still on the duty roster.
• The binder has been checked. Twice. Your name is there in blue ink.
• Claiming you "didn't know" about the duty does not remove you from the duty roster.
• The swap you arranged verbally was not submitted in writing and is not recognized by this office.
• Your leave request, appeal, and counter-appeal have all been reviewed and DENIED.
• Report to your post. Uniform is service Charlie. 0545. Do not be late.
